I have been having conversations with Death a lot lately. He seems to understand my fascination with his calling. “It must be difficult to have so many hate you,” I say to him. He sits there silent for a moment before answering.
“It is only because they are afraid,” he says. “I’m not,” I say to him. “It’s living that I’m afraid of.”
